Volunteer
GRAVIS benefits immensely from the work of volunteers and hence is always keen on providing opportunities to willing individuals and professionals gain understanding of the development sector through hands-on grassroots work. Over the past several years, many national and international volunteers have helped us improve the living conditions of desert communities. Volunteers can contribute in many ways and can work across our programme areas. The volunteer may take up research or documentation assignments or assist us with project implementation or he/she may develop a customized project based on his/her interest and capacity.
In the vicinity of GRAVIS’ field centers volunteers may come face to face with harsh realities and challenges communities face and tackle on a daily basis. While these heart-wrenching sights may incite an emotional response, it will allow the volunteers to learn and immerse themselves in the process of development and make them realise that it is rewarding to devote time and energy in helping and supporting fellow humans resolve their issues and make life better for them.
