Research & Advocacy
In order to ensure basic resources to communities, we take a number of paths to achieve that goal. We follow the dual approach of research and advocacy as it is integral to the work we do.
Through action research projects we try to understand our processes, outcomes, emerging needs and ways to modify our programmes to maximise the impact. We focus on educating the community on their rights and advocating for their entitlements by organizing and participating in seminars, workshops and awareness campaigns.

Through advocacy, we work towards raising attention on community needs and motivate the most vulnerable in the Thar, especially women, elderly and mineworkers to raise their voice against inequalities and challenge the status quo. As a result of many research interventions, we publish several studies and lead many advocacy campaigns every year on subjects like gender equality and mainstreaming, water and agricultural technologies, drought mitigation, health and sanitation, nutrition, water and food security, climate change adaptation, community health, health needs of the elderly, ageing, etc. Our multifaceted efforts lead to the holistic and sustainable uplifting of the village communities we serve.
