At GRAVIS, we have a simple and an effective organization structure that helps us to co-ordinate and harmonize our efforts undertaken at multiple levels with a variety of stakeholders. Our principal governing structure is the General Body, which comprises of 22 members. The General Body is responsible for the approval and disapproval of prospective budgets, activities and proposals. They also elect GRAVIS’ Governing Board. The Board currently has 7 members and is responsible for the overall supervision of financial, developmental and organizational planning as well as implementation of projects.
  • Dr. Archana Kumar (President) is an educationist and a Professor of Development Communication. She is a noted development activist and has been associated with GRAVIS for many years.
  • Dr. Manju Mishra (Vice President) is a senior academician. She comes with decades of experience in the fields of education, community development and social work and supports GRAVIS with inputs in respective fields.
  • Dr. Prakash Tyagi (Secretary) is a physician and a public health professional. He has been actively involved with health and development programmes nationally and internationally, and has served on multiple boards and committees.
  • Ms. Saraswati Kumar (Member) is an eminent women’s rights activist, writer and social worker. She has worked with several voluntary organizations and has contributed significantly to women empowerment and social reform programmes across India.
  • Ms. Lilabai ( Member) is a village leader, community activist, and social worker. She has been instrumental in implementing many grassroot level interventions of GRAVIS.
  • Dr. J.P.Gupta ( Member) is a noted agricultural scientist, retired from Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI). He contributes substantially to GRAVIS’ interventions on agriculture and livelihoods.
  • Ms. Usha Dhir (Member) ) is a distinguished social worker who has been contributing to GRAVIS’ community mobilization interventions for several years.
